Dry Liner

Airport project sites / Stansted Airport, Permanent, Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Maintain time keeping in line with company operational hours

  • Follow instruction to complete dry lining and ceiling works in line with management expectation
  • Ability to read and decipher construction technical drawings
  • Always present a professional image by wearing company issued uniform
  • Ability to complete works in a timely manner or report issues as they arise.
  • Ability to plan and complete multiple tasks with a logical/ methodical approach
  • Complete Point of Work Risk Assessments to support your work activities (training provided)
  • Work in accordance with Risk and Method Statements
  • Report progress to immediate supervision

Role

  • Read and decipher technical drawings
  • Setting out to technical drawings, position of walls and ceilings
  • Site measure and establish material quantities required to complete the works. Report to supervisor
  • Installation and fixing of traditional timber and metal Gyproc partition systems
  • Installation of shaft wall partitions
  • Installation of exposed grid ceiling systems
  • Installation of MF grid plasterboard systems
  • Retrospective installation of access hatches to ceiling and partition systems
  • Fabrication and installation of ply pattresses to support ceiling mounted luminaires and wall mounted fixtures and fittings
  • Installation of specialist boards to partition systems to include; Soundbloc, Fireline, Plasterboard, Dupflite, Ply & moisture resistant plasterboard. Tapered and square edge.
  • Assist, if required in the loading out of works.
  • Measuring and cutting panel boards for installation
  • Fixing boards to ceiling joists, cutting boards to fit around doorways.
  • Scrim taping to joints, corners and exposed edges
  • Install corner beading and edge beading and securing in place
  • Ability to mix and apply filler compound to all joints and exposed edges (preferred – not essential)
  • Complete repairs to existing partition walls and ceilings, including making good
  • Ability to strategically dis-assemble partition walls and ceiling systems in a safe methodical manner
  • Able to apply mist coat paint to new wall construction ensuring no over painting of adjoining areas – final coat by others

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Must hold a current CSCS card.
  • Qualified dry liner, NVQ 2 or equivalent
  • 3 years’ demonstrable experience in dry lining
  • Drivers Licence – Maximum of 3 penalty points
  • DFT requirement for a 5-year, checkable work history – Airside pass criteria

Working Environment

  • Construction Sites – Stansted Airport
  • Flexible shifts – Includes weekend and night working
  • Provision of specialist electrical tools to undertake carpentry works – Provided by LPL
  • Uniform Provided
  • All personal protective equipment provided
