LPL Achieves Significant Progress in EcoVadis Sustainability Audit

We’re proud to share the results of our Year 2 EcoVadis sustainability audit, submitted in March 2025.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s most respected platforms for assessing corporate sustainability performance, covering four key areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This independent audit holds us to account—against global industry standards—and offers our clients and stakeholders transparency around our impact and operations.
Our 2025 Results: A Mark of Meaningful Progress
While we didn’t achieve the Gold Badge accreditation this year, our overall progress is something to celebrate. In fact, our Year 2 assessment introduced a more comprehensive and demanding set of questions across all categories, yet we managed to increase our scores in every area—a clear reflection of the hard work, preparation, and strategic direction driven by the LPL team.
Categories and Improvements:
- Environment
- Labour & Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
Particularly in the Environmental category, the audit required a deeper dive into carbon data and climate strategy—an area where we had already made progress by developing our Carbon Management Plan and aligning with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) criteria. While final validation from the SBTi was still pending at the time of submission, our groundwork places us in a strong position for next year’s assessment.

Outstanding Global Positioning
In this year’s audit, LPL was benchmarked against over 1,000 global construction companies, including large multinational firms. We’re proud to report that we ranked in the 94th percentile—meaning our score was higher than 94% of all organisations rated worldwide.
By comparison, no UK-based peer company scored above 75/100, putting LPL among the top performers nationally in our sector. That’s a significant step forward from last year’s performance, where we were compared against just 250 organisations globally.
These results are a clear sign that our sustainable practices, business ethics, and people-first approach are not only effective—they’re leading the way.

Why This Matters
These results are more than numbers—they demonstrate our alignment with our clients’ ambitions and the wider industry’s push toward sustainability. They show that LPL:
- Measures and manages its environmental impact
- Upholds ethical and safe labour practices
- Works with a responsible, vetted supply chain
- Embeds ESG thinking into every aspect of our delivery
Importantly, our improved EcoVadis score shows we are aligned with the values and targets of clients such as Manchester Airports Group (M.A.G)—giving us confidence in our ongoing partnerships and future opportunities, including upcoming framework tenders.
