The Wellington Ward is in the original Hyland’s Wing of the Chase Farm Hospital complex. This ward facility was in its original layout and condition and did not reflect the layout or condition required by the new tenant end user. LPL worked closely with the Client team to understand their aspirations for the space and from that, develop a scope and delivery programme. This was agreed and the work subsequently commenced in May 2022.
The original space was taken in its entirety to allow efficient completion of the works. Hoarding was installed along with temporary power and lighting services prior to isolation of all landlord services. All isolations were completed on a permit to work basis ensuring safety of all as a priority.
With the site captured fully, works to strip back all the wall floor and ceiling services were completed in the first week of the project, providing access for the multiple trades to commence the refurbishment.
*All works from installation of hoardings to handover of the space was completed in 23 working days, a testament to the coordinated and integrated delivery between client and LPL teams.
