Bluegates Industrial Park

Construction of 6 nr industrial units including car park, drainage, externals, and services. There was also 5 months of S278 work.

Key facts

• LPL installed a large foul Klargester Biodisc foul treatment plant to manage the foul drainage before entering the ditch. The tank was 8m long x 3m wide x 3.2m high, this was then connected into a foul pumping station.
• LPL undertook 5 months of S278 work which included widening the adopted road, forming the new bellmouth entrance into the industrial park, constructing new adopted footpaths, new island in the centre of the road, new bus stops, and laying new services and drainage. The work also included laying 110 lin m of drainage culverts using 600mm dia PCC pipes.
• LPL poured the ground floor slab which was 1,200 m2 with a powerfloat finish.
• The overhead electric cables were a particular challenge, LPL managed the sequence of work to avoid crossing these. We also lowered the ground level in these areas to ensure that our smaller plant was able to operate safely.
