Construction Sites – Stansted Airport, Flexible shifts – Includes weekend and night working


  • Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
  • Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
  • Apply varnish and other finishes.
  • Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job.
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
  • Always present a professional image by wearing company issued uniform.
  • Reports to Site Manager

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • CSCS card or application in progress (CITB registered).
  • An NVQ in painting is desirable but not essential.
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail.
  • 3 years + demonstrable experience as a painter.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to plan and complete multiple tasks with a logical/ methodical approach.
  • Drivers Licence – Maximum of 3 penalty points.
  • DFT requirement for a 5 year, checkable work history – Airside pass criteria.
