Manchester Airport HBS Fit-out

LPL Construction Services successfully completed the construction of a new facility at Manchester Airport to support the Terminal 2 baggage installation upgrade. This project involved the demolition and reconfiguration of various levels within the airport to create space for the new baggage system and to provide additional facilities for staff and passenger welfare

The project was instructed under the main contract, allowing LPL Construction Services to quickly engage their established teams. The design team worked closely with the client to develop a clear brief, ensuring a proactive approach to the design journey. The new facility was constructed in redundant mezzanine spaces, repurposing them for Hold Baggage Screening functions, staff offices, welfare areas, and remote screening rooms.

The project was completed on schedule, with high praise from the clients’ architect for the quality of the installed works. Stakeholders were involved throughout the process, ensuring that final fittings and equipment were aligned with end-user requirements. The project received appreciation from stakeholder teams for the efforts of the LPL Construction Services team.
